GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES

As a volunteer you may experience some difficulties or problems in attempting to carry out your role.

Volunteers have the right to make a complaint if you are not happy with something that has happened or with the level of support that they are getting from the organisation and/ or any of the staff. Most organisations have a procedure by which grievances and complaints can be addressed.

It is worthwhile to find out about this procedure so that you know how to take action should you find yourself in a situation where you think you may need to. This section gives some hints and advice on how to handle a grievance.
